Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Worklog Tracker.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Worklog Tracker ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Worklog Tracker. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Worklog Tracker is an internal project management platform that provides:

  • Worklog tracking and time management
  • Integration with Atlassian/Jira for project data synchronization
  • Team productivity analytics and reporting
  • Project management and team coordination tools
  • Performance metrics and dashboard visualizations
  • User management and role-based access control
  • Email notifications and worklog reminders

The Service is designed for internal organizational use and requires user authentication through email/password or Atlassian OAuth integration.

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • Managers and Administrators: Can create accounts directly through the signup process using email and password authentication
  • Developers: Must be invited by a Manager or Administrator to access the Service. Developers can authenticate via Atlassian OAuth or email/password after invitation acceptance
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

3.2 Account Security

  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must immediately notify your organization administrator of any unauthorized use of your account
  • You must not share your account credentials with others
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

3.3 Account Responsibilities

  • You must maintain and update your account information to ensure it remains accurate
  • You are responsible for ensuring your email address is current for receiving notifications
  • You must comply with your organization's policies regarding use of the Service

4. User Roles and Responsibilities

4.1 Administrator Role

Administrators have full access to:

  • Platform settings and configuration
  • User management across all organizations
  • System-wide reports and analytics
  • Manager assignment and role management

4.2 Manager Role

Managers have access to:

  • Team member management and developer invitations
  • Worklog review and validation
  • Project oversight and reporting
  • Team productivity analytics
  • Online status management for team members

Managers are responsible for maintaining their organization's data and ensuring proper use of the Service by their team members.

4.3 Developer Role

Developers have access to:

  • Personal worklog entry and tracking
  • Project assignments and task management
  • Personal productivity metrics and reports
  • Profile and notification settings

Developers must accurately log their work activities and maintain compliance with their organization's worklog policies.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for:

  • Legitimate business purposes within your organization
  • Tracking work activities and project progress
  • Generating productivity reports and analytics
  • Team coordination and project management

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate any laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without authorization
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading worklog data
  • Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access to your account
  • Use the Service to collect or harvest personal information of other users

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and may subject you to legal liability.

6. Atlassian/Jira Integration

6.1 OAuth Authentication

When you authenticate using Atlassian OAuth:

  • You grant us permission to access your Atlassian account data as authorized by the OAuth scope
  • We store OAuth tokens securely and use them only to synchronize worklog data
  • You can revoke access at any time through your Atlassian account settings
  • OAuth tokens are automatically refreshed to maintain functionality

6.2 Jira API Integration

When you configure Jira API integration:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Jira API tokens
  • API tokens are stored securely and used only for data synchronization
  • You must ensure your Jira API tokens have appropriate permissions and are valid
  • We are not responsible for any issues arising from invalid or revoked API tokens

6.3 Third-Party Services

Your use of Atlassian/Jira services is subject to Atlassian's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Any issues with Atlassian/Jira services should be directed to Atlassian support.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Service Ownership

The Service, including all software, designs, graphics, text, and other content, is owned by Worklog Tracker and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

7.2 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit through the Service, including:

  • Worklog entries and descriptions
  • Project notes and comments
  • User profile information

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your organization.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that any data you submit complies with applicable privacy laws
  • You must not submit personal information of others without their consent
  • Worklog data and productivity metrics may be visible to managers and administrators within your organization
  • We implement security measures to protect your data, but you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

9. Service Availability and Modifications

9.1 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from Service unavailability.

9.2 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the Service without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To close your account, contact your organization administrator. Upon account closure, your access to the Service will be terminated, but certain data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

10.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

  • You violate these Terms or our Privacy Policy
  • You engage in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities
  • Your organization requests account termination
  • We determine that your use of the Service poses a security risk
  • Required by law or legal process

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any information on the Service
  • Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that the operation of the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or data
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
  • Any errors or omissions in any content or data
  • Any loss or damage incurred as a result of your use of any third-party services

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred dollars ($100), whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Worklog Tracker, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights
  • Any content you submit through the Service

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Worklog Tracker operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Worklog Tracker regarding your use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
